This competition is open to Timaru District residents aged 11 and under. Entries are open from 10 April 2021 and must be received by 5pm on 10th May 2021.

  • Complete the entry form on the back
  • Drop it off at Council, or one of our fantastic libraries and services centres in Timaru, Geraldine or Temuka.

Randomly selected entries will also feature on Council's Facebook page and all entries will be displayed in the Timaru District Council Chambers, during public hearings on the Timaru District Long Term Plan 2021-31.

Terms and Conditions

By entering this Competition, entrants or their parents/caregivers are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the following general Terms and Conditions.

  1. Colouring-in Competition prizes are given to three entries selected by random draw (unless otherwise stated).
  2. Entries received after the specified closing date will not be accepted.
  3. Every entrant warrants that their entry is their own work. Timaru District Council reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who does not comply with these terms and conditions.
  4. The Colouring-in Competition is open to residents of the Timaru District, aged 11 and below.
Entries, Selection & Prizes
  1. All reasonable attempts will be made to contact Competition winners using details provided on their entry forms. Should those attempts fail, another winner will be selected.
  2. Prizes are not redeemable for cash, nor transferable to any other person.
  3. If a prize or part of a prize becomes unavailable (for any reason), Timaru District Council reserves the right to limit entry, cancel or amend the prizes at its own and sole discretion, including providing the winners with a substitute prize, either in full or in part.
  4. Prizes must be collected in person from Timaru District Council offices, 2 King George Place, Timaru. If preferred by the winner, prizes can be sent by courier. Couriers are instructed to have all prizes signed for on receipt. Failure to obtain a signature will result in the prize being returned to Timaru District Council and another winner may be drawn/selected.
  5. Timaru District Council’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  6. Parents/caregivers of entrants consent to the display of entries for promotional purposes to support the Timaru District Council’s Long Term Plan 2021-31 public consultation process.
  1. Entry forms will not be returned. All information provided by the entrants will be collected, used, stored, disclosed and corrected in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
  2. All entrants consent to participate and co-operate as required in all promotional activities relating to the Competition. We collect your name, age and contact details in order to administer this competition, including to identify and notify winners.
  3. Where participants are under the age of 16, parents/caregivers must sign the entry form.
  4. Personal information provided will only be used for purposes associated with the Thriving Together Colouring Competition.
  5. All entrants have the right to access their information and request any personal information to be corrected.
  6. By entering, you or your parent/guardian consent to your entry being displayed at Council offices or made publicly available as part of the TDC Long Term Plan 2021-31 consultation. Providing your information is optional. If you choose not to enter your name and contact details, we'll be unable to accept your entry.
  1. The following persons are not eligible to win any prize:
    1. Anyone over the age of 11 at the time of entering the Competition
    2. Anyone not resident in the Timaru District at the time of the prize draw
    3. Anyone who works for Timaru District Council or any Council-controlled organisations, or any agencies or companies associated with the Competition.
  2. Timaru District Council reserves the right to exclude any entrant from participating at its sole discretion. Timaru District Council also reserves the right to refuse to award a prize to an entrant who is in breach of these Terms and Conditions, gained an unfair advantage in participating or won by using fraudulent means.
  3. Timaru District Council will not be liable for any loss, damage, costs (for instance incurred in accepting or redeeming a prize) or any injury whatsoever suffered by an entrant as a result of or in connection with the Competition, including any inability to enter, complete or continue the competition or giveaway due to equipment or technical malfunction.
  4. Timaru District Council reserves the right to amend or change these Terms and Conditions at any time at its sole discretion, including extending, postponing or cancelling the Competition or Giveaway.
  5. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand Courts.
